The artist’s grandmother, Susie, immigrated from Southern China in 1956 and worked in the Detroit restaurant industry. Through interviews with her father, Google Map searches, and performance, the artist attempts to get closer to this grandmother she never got to fully know. Through fantasy reenactments, the artist attempts to fill in the gaps of family history lost to assimilation.
